We are a design consultancy that specialises in brand communication design.

We believe that brands should communicate and emotionally resonate with their audiences. Which is why we design with empathy, anticipation and curiosity.
Empathy considers people and their socio-cultural landscape.
Anticipation focuses on their future needs and wants.
And our curiosity ensures distinctiveness.
This winning combination promises remarkable design and success for brands. The only pursuit we're truly after.
We achieve this through close collaboration and lots of conversation.
It’s why we call ourselves Openhouse.

Our doors are always open.

Alishka Anand
Co-Founder, Head of Business

Alishka studied advertising at The New York Institute of Technology before returning to Mumbai to pursue a career in the field. During her 11 years at MullenLowe Lintas, one of world's most trusted and effective advertising agencies, she led the business efforts on a plethora of Unilever brands ranging from Lifebuoy to Pepsodent to Wheel. She has led communication development on their global and local portfolios working across markets like China, Brazil, South Africa and South Asia. She was nominated for Impact magazine’s annual Top 30 under 30 list, and is a visiting faculty at Xaviers Institute of Communications where she teaches a postgraduate course in their ADMA programme.

She is obsessed with Harry Potter, an avid reader of fashion & architecture magazines, suffers from DecorRage* and currently wishes she had the gumption of Leslie Knope. *DecorRage occurs when design is not executed to perfection causing the person to ‘lose it.’

Hetal Desai
Co-Founder, Head of Design

Hetal was studying chemical engineering but she quickly realised that she favoured photoshop over potassium chloride, and moved to Raffles Design International where she studied visual communications instead. She has since worked at stalwart advertising agencies like Law & Kenneth and more recently at Ogilvy & Mather, where she spent 5 1/2 years on revered brands like Vodafone and Cadbury. She was also the co-creative head at Hopscotch, a children's e-commerce portal, where she conceptualised and crafted visual communication for the brand. She is no stranger to awards and has won at DMA, Kyoorius Digital Awards and IDMA for her work on Cadbury 5 Star, Vodafone and Tata Safari respectively.

She is an architecture lover, stationery hoarder, jagermeister connoisseur, and a bonafide font snob who will (undoubtedly) judge you basis the fonts you use.

Reema Bahadkar
Associate Business Director

Reema is a postgraduate from The Welingkar Institute of Management with over 9 years of experience in marketing, advertising and brand building. At MullenLowe Lintas, her previous agency, she has worked on National as well as Global markets across diverse categories, and led campaigns for some of India’s leading brands like Axis Bank, Mumbai Indians, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, Sun Pharma & Unilever's Pureit.

She was nominated for Impact's Top 30 under 30 and won several creative awards during her tenure on Axis Bank.

The Reema Touch is a specific quality that Reema has - where she always likes to give that extra thought, extra detail and extra commitment to everything she sets her sights on.When not working, you'll see her competitive spirit at the Badminton court or practicing her voice over skills.

A curly-headed daydreamer who loves to travel by train only to get lost in thoughts. A free-willed yet composed head full of ideas and humor. She swears she can can spot that double space faster than anyone. She likes to arrange things in order and has her own system to do so. A bon-vivant who can devour a crab faster than a Giant Puffer.

Sohini Sarkar
Senior Account Manager

Sohini has studied communications in depth and consciously chosen a career in it too. She did her MBA from Amity University in Noida and moved to Mumbai to live a life of her own. She was at MullenLowe Lintas for 4 years where she worked on various brands in the Unilever portfolio. She has delivered projects that were operation heavy and also contributed towards strategy for on-boarding new brands. She is focused on learning and puts all her energy behind delivering something that makes everyone happy.

She is not fancied by luxuries as much as she is attracted to simplicity.
She is a foodie, a movie buff, hungry for cultural exposure and adventurous experiences.

Shruti Sawant
Copy Director

A Bombay girl through and through, Shruti Sawant has worked in the whirlwind, ever changing, world of advertising and branding for 8 years now. She has dipped her toes into the city’s multinational ad agencies like Publicis and BBH, as well as explored small-scale boutique set-ups like Rickshaw Communications, built as a labour of love, and arrived at one conclusion - your first target audience is you.

She believes that empathy is a great strength when it comes to writing for an audience. For your final communication piece to speak to humans, first and foremost, you have to. Great things happen when great conversations happen.

As is the nature of agency life, it has given her the chance to work for brands ranging from the automobile and construction sector, to tech and finance, to food and beverages, with the odd sprinkling of alcohol and fashion as well. With Mahindra, Viacom18, Zee Network, HDFC, Future Group, Heineken, On1y Spices under her belt - no matter the brand, no matter the medium - she is of the firm opinion that there’s always a unique way to say your piece.

When she’s not working, Shruti is a grocery shopping aficionado. She’s always playing tetris with the condiment bottles in her fridge and her photo gallery is mostly sunsets at Bombay’s various beaches.

Shini Shreedharan
Creative Director

As a science student, Shini did an experiment of a different kind. She moved to Arts. She studied Bachelors in Mass Media (Specialisation: Advertising), and worked as a copywriter in agencies including OgilvyOne, and Indigo at Leo Burnett. Her work on The Economist, Vodafone Business Services and Toni&Guy won awards for copy craft, digital and integrated marketing at DMA ECHO Asia and International Awards. After 12 years, it was time for a new experiment. She took up feature writing on the history of literature and food, and a Masters in English Literature. She feels that the one important thing anyone can ever do is to tell a story to those who need to hear it.

She dreams of being a librarian, pet-sitter, or stationery curator. Emotional about creations of Schulz, Watterson, Miyazaki and Tarantino.
