It’s Pao Time!
Nothing is more reminiscent of Mumbai than it’s street food, and the king of all street food - the vada pao. An enterprising couple had high ambitions for this humble, comfort food and wanted to take it all the way to glitzy Dubai. The design and content for this cafe had to be young, fun and reflective of contemporary Indian values, as it primarily caters to Dubai’s large Indian expat community. We also had to incorporate design elements from the physical cafe so there was synergy across all consumer touch-points. Armed with a vibrant colour palette, tongue-in-cheek Mumbai lingo and several Pao based puns, the brand has opened its first cafe in Al Karama. We can only hope for many more.
